1. Packed Bed Scrubber

The Packed Bed Scrubbers, packed with hollow thermoplastic elements remove soluble gases like HCL, CL, BR2 & NH2, and SO2 H2S & NOx. This equipment is used to purify hazardous exhaust gas through its internal special filling pieces which enlarge the surface between exhaust gas and fluids. These are perhaps the most important & widely used gas scrubbers. The efficiency of the scrubber is the function of interfacial area between the gas, the liquid and the turbulence at the interface.

2. Venturi Scrubber

Venturi Scrubber is specially designed for removing dust, fumes, solids and liquid particulate. In this scrubber, gas stream and scrubbing liquid is brought into violent turbulent contact. The stream passes through high velocity venturi throat section and in the course; pollutants get removed from industrial emission sources. Most suitable to remove particulate matter of upto 0.1 micron size from exhaust gas streams, this scrubber is designed to sustain flammable, corrosive, and other conditions with difficult-to-handle solids. The liquid flow is atomized by the gas flow during its entry into the throat of venturi. The other method of atomization is through the nozzle which is done directly into the gas stream. Post the cleaned gas exits vertically from cyclone, the recovered liquid is returned for recycling into the sump.
